Assistant Principal

Welcome to Orland Junior High! It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as the Assistant Principal of this vibrant and dynamic school community. With a focus on academic excellence, personal growth, and community engagement, I am dedicated to supporting our students, staff, and families alongside Principal Bushwaller.

With 10 years of experience in the field of education, my journey has been deeply rooted in a passion for teaching and learning. I hold a Bachelors of Science in a Public Health Administration from Northern Illinois University, a Masters of Arts in Teaching from National Louis University, and a Masters of Education in Education, Policy, Organization, and Leadership from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana. My diverse experiences as a classroom teacher, department chair, and instructional coach within the K-12 setting have equipped me with a broad perspective on student needs, data-based decision making, successful systems, and educational best practices. 

I firmly believe that education is a collaborative effort and I look forward to partnering with parents and guardians to ensure that our students have the resources, support, and opportunities they need to succeed. Together, we can create a strong network at OJH that empowers our students to achieve at their highest potential.
