Principal Welcome

OJH Eagle family-

 

Welcome to Orland Junior High and the 2024-2025 school year!  My name is Lauren Bushwaller and this is my eighth year at Orland Junior High, and my fifth serving as the Principal.  I was the Assistant Principal for my first three years at Orland Jr. High before moving into the Principal role.  I began my career as a junior high math teacher for 12 years, 10 of those at Jerling Junior High just across town.  I truly believe I have found my home at Orland Junior High, and I am thrilled to continue leading OJH as our building principal.  I have found my career in education to be incredibly rewarding, and I truly love what I do. 

 

Education is a collective whole and we must all work together for the success of every student at Orland Junior High.  Learning is a shared partnership and I look forward to working closely with each stakeholder at OJH.  Please, at any time, reach out to me for any reason.  I am happy to listen, problem-solve, and do whatever we need to do to make the best learning environment for our 550 students.  We have an amazing staff at Orland Junior High that will do their very best to ensure an amazing education for our students while we move into a new academic year.  I am lucky to work with them every day, and to share each day with your child.
